BioCharacter Name: Castor
Character Series: 07 Ghost
Character Background: In order to seal away the God of Death on Earth, who spread darkness into the hearts of people, the Chief of the Heavens sent the Seven Ghosts to Earth to protect the Empire. Castor is one of these Seven Ghosts and is known as Fest, the ghost who ties souls.
In his human life, Castor was known as Xing-lu Hausen, the thirteenth head of his family that controlled one of the Houses of God. He was ignored by his father so he stayed in his room and created dolls to resemble his mother who was the only person who really showed him love and affection as a child.
During a mission, Castor finds a mermaid, Razette, in a cage. He takes her home with him and treats her wounds. He is kind with her and shows her the affection he didn’t receive from his own family. She doesn’t speak, but she sings and can change her face to look like anyone else’s. By changing into Xing-lu’s face, she taught him to smile.
During the Raggs War, in order to save the House, the family must bring Xing-lu’s head. His father actually shows that he really cares about him and doesn’t want him to die. He demands that Razette take on Xing-lu’s face so they can kill her and deliver that head rather than his son’s. Xing-lu dies protecting her from his father by taking the sword strike that would have killed her.
After his death, Xing-lu wakes up to find Razette lying dead next to him. She apparently died after taking her own life when he died. Xing-lu, Fest, Castor really, uses his new Ghost powers to bind his soul with Razette’s, sharing his life force and tying them together. After their human death, the Ghosts aren’t supposed to have contact with their past, but Razette is allowed to live with Castor in the 7th District Church.
At the church, Castor is a good bishop, blessing people, hunting kors who serve Verloren, and doing good works. His hobby is making dolls that he manipulates with his ziaphon. His pride is a nun doll who works in the library and looks suspiciously like his fellow bishop, Labrador… if Labrador was a girl of course. When Castor puts a small part of his soul into the dolls, they can appear very real and life like. If he makes dolls of himself, it’s impossible to even tell the difference between Castor and his dolls.
Castor is taken from about the same time as Labrador. While waiting for Lance to return to the church, Castor wanders off to look for Labrador, worried about him trying to sleep outside again. This is when he’s taken.
Character Personality: Castor is a very complex character. His is a genius, both in manipulation and in paperwork. He once did enough paperwork to get government funding for a floundering hospital. Even though he’s usually smiling and pleasant, he is a master of manipulation, not surprising considering he’s a puppet master. He’s very loving toward those he’s close to. This is a very small list, but he’ll sacrifice himself to save their lives.
He hates Frau, a lot. He’ll insult the other bishop, punch him, get into fights, and generally try to make each other miserable. He actually seems to enjoy causing any and all forms of grief and misery for Frau. He enjoys it a lot actually.
He always seems to have a bottom line, some idea, some plan that his actions bring about. He even manipulates his assistant bishop into becoming a better, stronger person, into helping the Empire, by taking him to the hospital and having him meet the “weak” whom he could be a voice for when tutoring the princess of the Empire.
Notes: With mod approval, Castor should be able to see that the campus staff are soulless beings. It’s kind of part of his job description.
